2 weeks old tomorrow and growing fast

Well Hannah, Jessica and Ella have settled into life real fast....they have been munching on mums food from about day 2 and are putting on weight daily.
They are getting used to their daily cuddles now and are very much so getting used to being handled.

Their coloures are great....They have a lot of their dad in them....Speaking of Dad....had to take him to the vet last week, he had an abscess on his back, more than likely from having a fight with Vanillie the week before....But hes all better now due to a small operation followed by constant cleaning and antibiotocs....smile.

Little Jessica when on a big adventure when i had her out last week ( must take after her name sake...Jessica the sailor adventurer....lol), She jumped down off the couch and spent an hour exploring the bungalow before i could get her to come back to me....lol...She especially thought the Bubble wrap in the box was exciting...lol...she was chewing the holes and making them burst....cheeky little scamp...Smile

Anyway....we are off to the local show now...will attach 2 week old pics tomorrow...Smile

Daddy Dougal

Dougal got to say a quick hello to his new babies today. But he was soooo Excited i didnt think it was a good idea to pop him in with them, so we just looked from afar.

In a couple of weeks he will be able to say hello properly, but for now he has to be content with chatting from afar. He has definately become more vocal in the last day.

Babies are now 24hrs old....Mum is very protective but also ok with me checking them out... Patchie knows i would never hurt her babies.....But she wont let Steve near them.....smile

They are feeding well and getting used to being handled already....they are such greal colours....And they have daddies teddy bear face.....lol

I think we are going to like these babies.....they are here to stay....Smile

14hrs old

Patch post baby weight 1006gms

Baby one Fawn, ginger and white 113gms
Baby two Brown with white stripe and white front right leg 106gms
Baby three Brown with ginger rear right leg 98gms

All healthy….smile

Babies x 3 Born today

Well there you go....i knew she was close....and its way to hot and uncomfortable to keep them inside....lol

Patch gave Birth this evening at 6.37pm.

I went up to give her her evening meal and i looked in the cage to see her pulling out baby number 2....baby one was just lying there in its sack....so while mum gave birth to number 2 i quickly removed the sack from baby ones face and got it breathing. Seconds after baby 2 was born baby 3 came out. Patch was able to rip the sack before turning her attention to baby 3. It was all over and done with with in a minute or two.....much faster than usual.

Thank God i was there or we would definately have lost the first baby.

I stuck around for about 1/2 hr to make sure all were ok and there were no more babies.

They are now being cleaned and fed, and are getting to know each other....smile

Patch is a young girl but she coped really well and has had a big feed and drink post birth.

Tomorrow we will do a proper inspection and weigh them....for now im just leaving them alone to bond.

Stay tuned for more info.... ( photos Going up shortly)

Way to Hot

Such hot days.....
And heavily pregnant....
Poor Patchie is soooo uncomfortable....

So i am doing everything i can to keep her comfie....even if that means keeping her inside in airconditioned rooms....smile

Instead of her grazing on the grass in the back yard....i pick the grass for her and take it in for her to eat.
And there is no relief in sight....its going to be very hot all week

I really dont think she can have much longer to go...

I think i originally said she was due around the 12 to 15th of November....its now the 9th.....so we will see how close i was in my prediction...smile

Stay tuned

Getting closer

Well today is the 6th of November....and Patch is all baby.
She is now sleeping in the maternity Unit ( LOL), but she is still spending her days outside eating grass with Dougal....As long as im near by to keep an eye on her. Soon ill make the decision to seperate them totally.....Poor Dougal was sooo lonely last night i could hear him weep weeping....so i bought him inside to watch TV with us....he liked that...Smile

Patch was 1345gms this morning....so still on track for having 4 babies.
Her belly is so round, she is all baby now.

So ide be thinking maybe sometime in the next week to 10 days and we will have babies

Time now to get out in the sun and play with my little ones...smile

Stay tuned...not long now
