All doing well
Has been a busy couple of weeks....
Dougal went to the vet with an abscess on his back....all better now
Ginger went to the vet and was diagnosed with Uterine cancer....not good...but shes doing ok for now
Friskie went to the vet and has possibly had a stroke or might have a middle ear problem....time will tell...she isnt too good for now....will see how she goes in the morning
Thats 3 and they say things go in 3's....so i hope thats all for now....its more than enough for now....smile

ReplyDeleteWell ..... Seeing as I was the one who thought of the Names for your Guinea Pig Babies, I think it Only Fitting to be the First One to Comment Here ...lol... don't you ?!? ...LOL !!!
That's Kool Debs, that you named them after The 3 girls. I'm sure they'll be Honored. Although was there any reason you called one JESSIE instead of JESSICA ? . . . because JESSIE (JESSIE MARTIN) was the Guy who sailed around the world Solo. I feel it would have been more fitting to use JESSICA, because then People would relate the 3 names together.
Anyway Debs, They are All Beautiful nevertheless.
Below is a Section of a Comment I Posted on HANNAH'S BLOG. You may also find it helpful; although, you may well be aware of some of it already.

Just make sure that you that you have Mesh on the Bottom of the whole cage or pen, so that they can't Burrow Out (they love digging), and so that nothing (such as Dogs and Snakes or Rats) can burrow under the walls and get in. The best thing to use is Wire Mesh about 10mm Squares but no bigger, because Snakes can get through it: Don't use Sparrow Netting, it's too big). Also, make sure that you put a Cover or Roof over the whole thing; because Magpies and Crows will attack the babies (and also the Adults). This also applies to a Pen with an Open Yard that they can run around in. Dog's and cats will attack them too.
Make sure that you DO NOT Use TREATED TIMBER because it Contains Arsonic, which can Kill Them. if you Paint anything, make sure that the Paint is Suitable for use on Childres toys and Things .... because the guinea pigs will chew it.
Also, don't let them Eat Grass off the nature Strip/Footpath because it is Contaminated with Carbon Monoxide (Car & Truck Exhaust) and also from Dog's Weeing and Pooing on the grass; and from Poisons that might be sprayed by Council Workers to Poison the Weeds: It Won't help to wash it because the Poisons and Toxins Soak Into the lawn and Soil and the Lawn Grass gets Contaminated.
Also Hannah, DO NOT Feed them POTATO PEELINGS ..... They are Poisonous to them.

. . I Hope The Cute Little GREYISH Coloured one is ELLA ...lol... Because of the PINK EYES; And, the Darker one with the Tan patch near her rear legs is JESSIE (Jessica), because those two have Tan Patches, so obviously JESSICA & ELLA ...LOL. That would leave the one in the Front to be HANNAH.
