Wow its been a while

Last post was in June 2010....Tammy was expecting.
Tammy ended up being quite ill during her pregnancy and she had one still born at not full term. I decided no more babies after that.

Tammy has since developed a decent sized Mammary tumor. We had the first one removed but it has just grown back bigger than ever. We have decided on palliative care.
She is happy and Healthy for now....so we are happy too.

Jessie, Hanna and Ella are all going good. We did discover a small pea sized lump under Ella's skin but it hasn't grown at all in the last 5 months, so I'm thinking its a small fat lypoma....i check it daily and at the sign of any change she will be heading straight back to the vet....at this stage the vet is happy to watch n see.

Dougal, Ginger and Dusty are one good looking family :). They are so placid and love time spent with the family out of their cages :). Ginger is like a garbage disposal unit lol.

I cant believe Vanillie is still with me....he is such an old man now, but shows no signs of aging or any sign of slowing down !!! Maybe the girls keep him young lol.

I have Jessie, Hannah, Ella, Daisy and Crunch all in together in a large enclosure now....they are all getting along really well and enjoying the community togetherness :)

Munch had to be separated from crunch cos crunch took a chunk out of munch's eye. He had to have micro surgery to correct it !!!!! But Munch is now settled in with the ever so placid Tipsy....she seems to enjoy Munch's attention ...they really are lovey dovey's.

Friskie is still going good despite having had a stroke some time ago....both her and Tammy are in the Infirmary, they only have supervised outside time cos of their conditions, and only on good weather days....don't want them becoming uncomfortable or unwell.

Everyone is well fed, spoilt rotten at times and live in clean enclosures....i try to make their lives as good as possible.

One funny thing to note is...i got a new puppy this year and wasn't too sure how they would interact....but the guineas think cookie is a wonderful addition to the family....they run to her when she comes out to play and they even give her head butts of affection :)

Soooooo

All in all

everything is good on the guinea farm :)
